C -Reactive Protein, Leukocyte Count and Neutrophils: A Diagnostic Aid in Acute Appendicitis

Background: Malnutrition is known to be a poor prognostic factor affecting the outcome of pediatric cancers. The objective this study was assess pre-existing malnutrition in newly diagnosed cancer patients presenting at Pediatric Oncology Department, Children Hospital, PIMS and their number hospital admissions due causes other than chemotherapy.
 Methodology: Data 44 children with analyzed find out association nutritional status according z-score for weight height age, body mass index (BMI) mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) 6 months since date diagnosis.
 Results: mean age subjects 4.25 ± 2.85 years, which 33(75%) were males 11(25%) females. Most leukemia or lymphoma. Nutritional evaluation thirty who got admitted mild moderate wasting 24(80%) assessed by stunting 21 (70%) severe 10 (33%) based on mid upper (MUAC).
